Travis Boyd, MD

Dr. Travis Boyd is a distinguished, board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, recognized by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. His primary focus centers on microsurgical breast reconstruction following cancer, where he utilizes advanced surgical techniques such as the DIEP flap to restore both form and function for his patients. Dr. Boyd is deeply committed to compassionate care and consistently prioritizes patient-centered outcomes throughout his practice.

Beyond breast reconstruction, Dr. Boyd offers microsurgical lymphatic reconstruction and procedures specifically designed for his breast cancer patients affected by lymphedema, aiming to improve their quality of life. Furthermore, Dr. Boyd is skilled in a variety of cosmetic procedures involving the face, breast, and body, as well as non-surgical treatments, including injectables and laser skin resurfacing, to offer subtle yet effective aesthetic enhancements to improve his patients’ confidence and well-being.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Boyd began his academic journey with undergraduate studies in Biology at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he also was a four year letterman in football. He returned to his hometown to earn his medical degree from his grandfather’s alma mater, the University of Louisville School of Medicine, before completing his integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas with another Renaissance surgeon, Dr. Taylor McLendon. Dr. Boyd further advanced his training by pursuing a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

He later served as faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he honed his expertise in microsurgery and lymphatic surgery, addressing both functional and aesthetic challenges for his patients.

Dr. Boyd, together with his wife Audra and their three children, is excited to make Macon their home.
