Surgical Scrub Tech
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Scrub Tech to join our dedicated surgical team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and OR procedures. You’ll play an important role in preparing the operating room, assisting surgeons during procedures, cleaning and sterilizing instrumentation, and maintaining a sterile field throughout surgery.
Responsibilities
- Prepare OR and surgical instruments for scheduled procedures
- Scrub in and assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures
- Collaborate with circulating nurses and other OR staff for efficient case flow
- Assist with room turnover and restocking of supplies
- Clean and sterilize instrumentation
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist
- Minimum 1 year of scrub tech experience
- Current BLS certification
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
